Blossoms

Written by Khalia Solomon of Northwest High School

Spring showers through gray and bleak

bring about the most beautiful array of flowers.

Scents of peace,

fragrances of blossoms,

bursting from the tulips,

lilies,

and dahlias of the world.

Dazzling variations of colors,

blues beaming from the cornflowers,

pinks engulfing the bees

that come for petunias’ pollen,

sunflowers,

mini suns adorning a bleak sidewalk

or the rows of curlies in one’s hair.

Flowers of all colors, scents, and sizes

bring joy to any calamity going on.
